i'm sorry but i really don't think this is the case. It reminds me of my boyfriend, he's not perfect and sometimes my parents think he's meh. But i love him so much and he's perfect in my eyes, even with his faults. Not abuse at all. Just tormented maybe by past events as she said, misguided angel.

I think this is about a sheltered woman who has finally met her one true love who is beautiful despite his imperfections and he is worldly which frightens her, but her love for him conquers all her fears of the outside world and leaving her family to lead her own life with him by her side....just my personal thoughts
